About- Indian Institute of Information Technology Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance established under an Act of Parliament (23 of 2017) in public-private-partnership (PPP) mode between the Ministry of Education, Government of India, Government of Karnataka and industry partner KEONICS. As a not-for-profit, self-financing institute of higher learning in the area of Information Technology (IT), the primary objective of IIIT Dharwad is to address the skill gap in high-end information technology and thereby enable India to retain its global leadership role in IT and allied areas. IIIT Dharwad currently offers B.Tech degree programs in Computer Science & Engineering, Data Science &Artificial Intelligence, and Electronics & Communication Engineering, apart from a Ph.D. degree program.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Educational Qualification: A Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc.) in the appropriate specialization at the preceding degrees.
Academic Record: A consistently good academic record throughout.
Age Limit: The desirable upper age limit is 35 years.
Skills: Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to carry out creative research.
Job/Position Description-
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Dharwad, an Institute of National Importance established in 2016, is seeking highly motivated individuals for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor. This is a purely temporary faculty role aimed at candidates with an excellent academic record and a strong commitment to high-quality education and original research. The institute is operating from its permanent 470-acre campus in Karnataka and offers a vibrant academic environment across various engineering and sciences disciplines.

The selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Teaching: Delivering approximately two courses per semester at the undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
- Research: Engaging in original and creative research activities.
- Institutional Support: Carrying out any other responsibilities assigned by the department or the institute.
- Curriculum Development: Contributing to coursework development and teaching objectives.
