Eligibility/Qualification–
Faculty staff applicants with a Ph.D. and an excellent publication record are encouraged to apply.
Postdoctoral experience not exceeding 5 years is desirable. Successful candidates should have a demonstrated record of research accomplishments and interest in collaborative and interdisciplinary research efforts.
Attractive opportunities exist for collaboration with the faculty in Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science.
Key research facilities in the department include several high-end confocal microscopes, flow cytometers, fly facility, zebrafish aquariums and screening facility, microarray and proteomics facility etc.
Successful candidates will be expected to establish independent research groups, will avail of a competitive start-up package as well as continuing support and students from a very successful graduate studies program of TIFR. Faculty hires will also strongly contribute to the department teaching program at the graduate level
Job/Position Description-Â
Applicants selected through the Search Committee will have to visit TIFR, Mumbai for a formal job talk and spend at least one full day (preferably two days) for interaction and discussions with the faculty.
