Eligibility/Qualification–
PhD (graduated or submitted thesis) in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, and allied fields.
The percentage/grade points with respect to the academic qualifications will be a minimum of 60% or equivalent grade from Graduation onward, and 55% or equivalent grade in class 10th and 12th.
Job/Position Description-
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Process Modeling, Control, and Optimization research group headed by Dr. Hari S. Ganesh (https://iitgn.ac.in/faculty/chemical/fac–hari).
Job Description and Expectations
The research group has experience with tools and methods such as Physics-Based Modeling, Data-Driven Modeling, Model Predictive Control, Multiparametric Programming, and Optimization. The group also applies the aforementioned methods to complex energy and environmental systems, such as hybrid energy systems, process systems, buildings, etc. The candidate is expected to contribute to ongoing projects in the group and help explore new research directions.
Knowledge of Numerical Methods, Modeling and Simulation, Process Control, and Optimization is desirable. Computer programming skills in either MATLAB or Python are required.
Remuneration
Rs. 72,000/- to Rs. 84,000/- per month (consolidated).
Duration
1 year (extendable for 2 more years based on performance and funding availability).
