About- Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Research Associate (RA) in a time-bound research project for a temporary period, purely on a contractual basis.

Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Ceramic Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Physics, or an equivalent degree in an allied branch related to the project.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in:
- Electrode preparation
- Materials development for fuel cells and batteries
- Equipment handling for hydrogen generation and storage in industry or national laboratories.
Desirable Qualification:
Candidates should have expertise in:
- Materials synthesis
- Materials characterization
- Electrode preparation
- Materials development for fuel cells and batteries.
Age Limit:
- Maximum 35 years
- Age relaxation will be applicable as per Government of India norms.
- SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.
Job Description:
The Department of Ceramic Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, invites applications for 3 Research Associate (RA) positions under the project “Centre of Excellence (COE): Centre for sustainable hydrogen technologies and fuel cell development,” sponsored by UPnEDA. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

The selected Research Associates will work on the project focused on sustainable hydrogen technologies and fuel cell development. The work is expected to involve materials synthesis and characterization, electrode preparation, development of materials for fuel cells and batteries, and handling of equipment associated with hydrogen generation and storage. Candidates with relevant research/project experience in these areas will be preferred.
