Eligibility/Qualification–

PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Engineering Design, or Architecture Preferably with doctoral research in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)
Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal and project management abilities
High-quality journal publications on the application of LCA
Proficiency in LCA software tools such as SimaPro, One Click LCA, and GaBi
Commitment to work for a minimum of one year, unless mutually agreed otherwise

Job/Position Description-

Applications are invited for the temporary post of Post Doctoral Researcher, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras.

Co-ordinator: Prof. Ravindra Gettu, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Madras.

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance.

Number of Vacancies: 01

Post	Pay
Post Doctoral Researcher	Rs.60,000/- to Rs.1,50,000 /- Per month (consolidated pay without any allowances), commensurate with experience, expertise and leadership skills.

The postdoctoral researcher will work with the Centre of Excellence on Technologies for Low-Carbon and Lean Construction in the areas of Life Cycle and Sustainability Assessment, with a primary focus on applications related to construction materials, construction processes, and buildings/infrastructure.

The researcher is expected to engage in collaborative research and should have experience in writing research papers and proposals.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of real-world applications of LCA, and provides a strong platform for pursuing a future career in academia or industry.
