Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Qualification:
Ph.D. in Waste Management, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. The applicant must have obtained a first class (or equivalent) in B. Tech and/or M. Tech in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science/Engineering, or relevant allied fields.
Experience Required:
The candidate should have 2–3 years of post-Ph.D. experience in Research & Development (R&D), preferably in projects related to waste processing, sustainable materials, or environmental impact studies.
Desirable Experience:
- Expertise in waste characterization and classification techniques, particularly agro-industrial waste such as bagasse.
- Experience in waste valorization technologies, including thermal, biological, or mechanical processing pathways.
- Working knowledge of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or other tools for environmental impact assessment of waste-to-product conversion technologies.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory-scale experiments related to construction material development, solid waste processing, or sustainable materials research.

Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the post of Project Post-Doctoral Fellow (PPDF) in the project titled: “Utilisation of Sugarcane Bagasse in Clay Brick Production: A Sustainable Approach for Waste Management”
Nature of Work:
The selected candidate will be expected to:
- Perform compositional analysis and physical–chemical characterization of raw and processed bagasse.
- Design and optimize the process flow for conversion of bagasse to bricks.
- Assess environmental sustainability using scientific tools such as LCA.
- Contribute to publications, presentations, and potential patent applications emerging from the project.
- Assist in coordination with industry partners and technical report preparation.
Duration of Appointment:
The appointment will be for one year or the end of the project (whichever is earlier), however, the position may be extended depending on the performance and project requirement.
Salary range: 60000-5000-85000
