Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Academic Qualification:
PhD in Power Engineering with at least one research paper published as the lead author in a peer-reviewed SCI journal.
Desirable Skills (in one or more of the following areas):
- Electric vehicle charging infrastructure modelling and grid integration
- Proficiency in PSCAD/RSCAD or PSS/E for dynamic simulation of power systems with detailed modelling of power electronic converter-interfaced generation systems
- Power system dynamics, stability, and control; tools and techniques for analyzing the stability and security of power systems
- Power system monitoring mechanisms, including SCADA, AMI, and synchrophasor technology; state estimation algorithms
- Distribution system planning; Distribution system management; Modelling of distribution system operator and distributed energy resources for offering flexible services; Network level optimization
- Protection of smart grids and microgrids with large penetration of variable renewable energy sources (VRES); protection coordination
- Integration of VRES, assessment of system hosting capacity, and control challenges
- Proficiency in DSP/FPGA programming and PCB Design.
- Experience with power converter design and control
- Familiarity with power electronic hardware prototyping and testing
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for the following positions in the project entitled, “Grid Readiness for EV: Enablers and Technological developments (GREET)”, funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India.
Postdoctoral Fellow (8 positions)
Salary: Rs 80,000 per month + HRA (ANRF norms)
Job summary:
We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Post-Doctoral Fellows to join our research team. The successful candidates will contribute to modeling, analysis, and control of modern power systems, with emphasis on EV-charging infrastructure, renewable energy integration, inverter-based resources, power system stability, protection, and smart grid technologies.
The fellows will be expected to independently conduct high-quality research, develop simulation models, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to collaborative projects with academic, industrial, and governmental stakeholders. The role also involves mentoring graduate students and assisting in the preparation of grant proposals and technical reports. These positions offer a stimulating research environment and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge challenges in the transition to sustainable and resilient electric energy systems.
