Eligibility/Qualification-
Maximum Age Limit in years: 35 years
Essential Qualifications:
- First Class Post Graduate Degree in Environment Engineering/ Environment Science/Atmospheric Sciences/ allied discipline, including the integrated PG degrees from a recognized institution/ University,
- Second Class Post Graduate Degree in Environment Engineering/ Environment Science/Atmospheric Sciences/ allied discipline, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD
Desirable:
- Technical Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience in emission inventory development using both Top-Down and Bottom-Up approaches
- Proficiency in air dispersion modeling software (AERMOD, CALPUFF, WRF-Chem)
- Experience with GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS) for spatial analysis and gridded emission mapping
- Programming skills in Python/R/MATLAB for data analysis and model development
- Knowledge of satellite data processing for air quality applications
- Research Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the area of air quality related research
- Published research papers in SCI/SCIE journals on air quality modeling, emission inventory, or related topics
- Experience in source apportionment studies and receptor modeling
- Familiarity with CPCB emission inventory guidelines and USEPA AP-42 methodology • Experience in policy analysis and regulatory impact assessment

Job Description:
- Assist in developing emission inventories for various anthropogenic sources (traffic, residential, commercial, industrial)
- Conduct field surveys for primary data collection on activity levels and emission sources
- Process and analyze traffic count data for emission estimation
- Compile emission factors from various databases and literature sources
- Assist in GIS-based spatial allocation of emissions
- Prepare input files for AERMOD dispersion modeling
- Maintain project database and documentation
- Assist in report writing and preparation of research manuscripts
- Coordinate field activities and liaise with local authorities for data collection Candidate should be available for immediate joining, if selected
