Eligibility/Qualification/Job/Position Description-
Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) invites applications from bright and motivated individuals for the following positions under the project “Smart ESD (Energy Storage Device) Safety Diagnostics System” as part of the ANRF’s MAHA EV Consortium – E-RIDES. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in energy storage, power electronics, AI, and IoT systems.
📌 1. Project Scientist-I
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D./Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
- Strong research background and interest in energy storage and power systems.
Job Description:
- Contribute to research and development activities in power and energy systems.
- Assist in simulation, analysis, and design of EV safety diagnostics and IoT interfaces.
📌 2. Project Scientist-II
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Science or Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology.
- Minimum 3 years of R&D experience in industry/academia/S&T organizations.
- Background in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
- Essential Skills:
- Experience in power converters, control using FPGA/DSP
- Modelling/simulation in power engineering
- Hardware development in power electronics
- Knowledge of instrumentation and machine learning
- AI and IoT experience is mandatory
Job Description:
- Design compact and lightweight power electronic systems for EV battery safety and energy management.
- Develop a multi-modal IoT interface to monitor and control EV energy storage systems.
- Use data-driven control for enhanced efficiency and reliability.
📌 3. Project Manager
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral degree in Science or Master’s in Engineering/Technology.
- Excellent academic record with minimum 60% in graduation and above; 55% in 10th and 12th.
- Experience in:
- Project management
- Equipment procurement
- Human resource management
Job Description:
- Manage project operations including human and material resources.
- Liaise with industry partners and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Responsible for milestone tracking and project documentation.
