Eligibility/Qualification/Job/Position Description-
1. Research Scientist (Post Doctoral)
Essential Qualification
- Ph.D. in Materials Science / Chemical Engineering / Chemistry / Electrochemistry or related field
- Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis/synopsis are also eligible
Desired Skills & Experience
- Hands-on experience in battery materials synthesis and electrochemical testing
- Expertise in CV, EIS, charge–discharge cycling
- Proficiency in SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman spectroscopy
- Knowledge of electrode preparation and battery manufacturing techniques
- Ability to analyze electrochemical data and correlate material properties with performance
- Strong experimental design, lab equipment handling, and data analysis skills
- Proven research publications in peer-reviewed journals
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills
Remuneration
- ₹55,000/month (Ph.D. thesis submitted)
- ₹65,000/month (Ph.D. awarded)
- May be increased based on performance
2. Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Essential Qualification
- M.Sc. (Chemistry / Material Science) OR
- M.Tech. (Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / Polymer / related fields)
- Candidates who have submitted thesis are also eligible
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in battery fundamentals and electrochemical processes
- Experience in electrode/electrolyte preparation and electroplating
- Data analysis using SEM, TEM, XRD, XPS, Raman spectroscopy
- Knowledge of battery/reactor design, 3D modeling and CFD simulations
- Interest in battery technology and related interdisciplinary areas
Remuneration
- ₹30,000/month (consolidated)
Job Description
- Conduct experimental and analytical research related to battery design and development
- Synthesize, characterize, and test battery materials
- Analyze electrochemical performance data
- Prepare technical reports, manuscripts, and project documentation
- Assist in project execution and laboratory management
- JRFs will be encouraged to register for the Ph.D. program at ICT as per institute norms
The Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai invites applications for Research Scientist (Post Doctoral) and Junior Research Fellow (JRF) positions under the sponsored research project titled “Design and Development of Battery”, led by Dr. R. V. Pinjari and Dr. D. V. Pinjari.
The positions are offered initially for one year / six months (as applicable) and may be extended based on performance and project requirements.
