About- The Cellular Immunology Group at the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB), New Delhi, invites applications for multiple temporary project-based positions. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary research environment focused on advanced immunology and life science research. Appointments are initially for one year and may be extended annually based on performance and project requirements.

Eligibility/Qualification –
1. Senior Project Scientist (2 Posts)
Educational Qualification:
- Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at preceding degree in relevant discipline
OR - M.Tech (1st class) with minimum 6 years’ relevant experience
Required Expertise:
- Management and reporting of research projects
- Molecular modeling, docking, molecular dynamics simulation
- AI/ML applications in drug discovery
- Web server development
- Use of open-source drug discovery tools (AutoDock, RDKit)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Alternative Role Expertise (Bioinformatics Focus):
- Experience in -Omics data analysis (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, Spatial omics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, Genomics, Imaging/Clinical data)
- Strong proficiency in Python and R/MATLAB
- ML/DL application to biological datasets
- Data mining and preprocessing expertise
Salary: ₹77,152 per month (inclusive of HRA)
2. System Analyst (Young Professional) (1 Post)
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT / Data Science or related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years in software development/system analysis/data handling
- Strong programming & scripting skills
- Experience with large dataset handling and workflow automation
- Shell scripting (Bash/Linux environment)
Technical Skills:
- Python, PHP (preferred)
- MySQL / Relational databases (design, optimization, integration)
- Backend database management
- CLI-based pipeline development
- Integration of third-party tools & workflows
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript visualization libraries
- WordPress development (themes, plugins, customization, CMS management)
- User roles, security, performance optimization
Responsibilities:
- Translate research requirements into technical solutions
- Develop and maintain software tools and pipelines
- ETL data processing
- Workflow automation
- Develop dashboards & interactive data visualization platforms
Salary: ₹66,319 per month (inclusive of HRA)
3. Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (1 Post)
Educational Qualification:
Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in Professional Course
Candidates must be selected through:
- CSIR-UGC NET (including Assistant Professorship)
- GATE
- Equivalent National Eligibility Tests
with 2 years of research experience
Essential Experience:
- Bioinformatics projects experience
- AI-based classification of biological datasets
- Python programming
- Linux OS & database experience
- Coding in Python/Java
- Web technologies
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong ML/DL expertise
- Biological data mining and preprocessing
Desirable:
- Experience with CNNs, GNNs, Transformers
- Multimodal learning (genomics, transcriptomics, imaging, clinical data integration)
Salary: ₹52,080 per month (inclusive of HRA)
4. Junior Scientific Administrative Assistant (1 Post)
Educational Qualification:
- 3-year Diploma
OR - 12th Pass
(Preference for IT background)
Essential Requirements:
- Installation & management of Linux, Ubuntu, Windows, Mac
- Backup & restore systems
- Linux/Ubuntu/Mac administration
- Hardware assembly & maintenance
- Inventory management
- Experience with workstation computers
- IBM HPC clusters, RAID, database backup
- Printer installation & troubleshooting (Linux)
Salary: ₹22,860 per month (inclusive of HRA)
