About- Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist/Project Engineer under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Qualification:
PhD OR Postgraduate + 3 Yrs relevant experience.
Desirable Qualification & Experience:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, or Materials Science, or
M.Tech. in Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience. - Hands-on experience in the fabrication and characterization of Li-ion / Na-ion pouch cells and coin cells.
- Experience in the synthesis and processing of graphene, carbon nanotubes (CNT), oxide materials, and their composite anodes.
- Strong understanding of ink formulation and characterization techniques such as rheology, surface tension, and viscosity.
- Practical experience with printing techniques like doctor blade coating, slot-die coating, and screen printing.
- Familiarity with electrochemical and materials characterization techniques, including CV, EIS, GCD, GITT, Raman, XPS, FESEM, TEM etc.

Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for temporary or contractual post of ‘Project Scientist’ under the project entitled “Development of Pouch Cell for Portable Electronics” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.
Nature of work:
- Development of Li-ion pouch cells for industrial applications.
- Development of graphene/oxide-based composite anodes for pouch cells.
- Ink or paste formulation and printability testing for battery components.
- Preparation of technical reports and presentations.
- Development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various processes.
- Detailed documentation and reporting of all developed processes.
Salary: 31600-2600-78400/- per month based on qualification.
Duration of appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier.
