About- Atal Bihari Vajpayee- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior, an Institute of national importance, established by an act of Parliament under the Ministry of Education, the Government of India invites applications from well-qualified and strongly motivated candidates of Indian nationality for the following faculty positions in the departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Management Studies (MS) and Engineering Sciences (ES) at the Assistant Professor Grade-I (Pay Level 12) and Assistant Professor Grade-II (Pay Level 11).

Applicants must specify their area of specialization. Below are the departments and their required research focuses:

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline with a “First Class” (60% or 6.5 CGPA) in all preceding degrees starting from Graduation (UG) onwards.
Academic Pedigree: At least one degree from graduation onwards should be from prestigious institutes like IISc, IITs, IIITs, NITs, IIMs, ISI, or IISERs. Candidates with degrees from top-ranked foreign universities (QS/The World Ranking preferably up to 500) are also eligible.
Experience: No prior experience is strictly required for Pay Level 10.
Desirable Requirement: At least one publication in an SCI journal.
Age Limit: Appointments beyond 35 years are generally discouraged, except for candidates with exceptionally brilliant research careers or ongoing externally funded projects.

Job/Position Description-

Atal Bihari Vajpayee- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, is seeking well-qualified and highly motivated Indian nationals for faculty positions. The recruitment is for the role of Assistant Professor (Pay Level 10) on a pure contract basis for a fixed period across various technical and management departments.

Designation and Compensation

Designation: Assistant Professor (Grade-II)
Pay Level: Level 10 (as per 7th CPC)
Pay Scale: INR 57,700 – INR 98,200
Minimum Starting Salary: INR 70,900.00 (plus admissible allowances like DA, HRA, etc.)
