Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidates must meet either criteria A or B:
- A.
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in a relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or CSIR.
- Exemptions from NET are available for candidates meeting certain Ph.D. requirements as per UGC regulations.
- B.
- Ph.D. degree from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the world by QS, THE, or ARWU rankings.
Relaxations:
NET is not required for certain disciplines where it is not conducted.
5% relaxation in marks at the Master’s and Bachelor’s level for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer), PwBD categories, and some other specified cases.

Designation:Assistant Professor
- Appointed Assistant Professors will engage in teaching, research, and related academic responsibilities.
- Selection is based on academic merit, followed by performance in the interview.
