Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualification:
– Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
OR -M. Tech. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (with qualified GATE), and at least 3 years of research experience with at least one research paper published in an internationally reputed journal or conference.
Job/Position Description-
| Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate-I to work under the project titled “Computational Modelling for Ground Potential Rise (ISTRAC)” at the School of Electrical Sciences, IIT Goa. The project is sponsored by the Indian Space Research Organisation. | |
| Nature of work | Computational electromagnetics: The research associate will be responsible for understanding and extending an existing computational model, and for developing numerical codes to calculate ground potential rise due to transient currents in earthing systems. Experimental high-voltage work: The research associate will carry out laboratory and field experiments, including measurement of earth resistance using standard earth-resistance testing methods and performing high-voltage tests, along with setup, data recording, and preliminary analysis. |
