About-Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994. The objects of this Central University as envisaged in the statutes are that it shall strive to offer employment-oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the local and regional aspirations and the development needs of the state of Assam and also offer courses and promote research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in emerging areas in Science and Technology. A.
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject (as given in the previous column) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the
CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET / SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time, as the case may are exempted from NET/SET/SLET,

- The Academic score as specified under UGC Regulations, 2018, in Appendix II (Table 3A) for Universities, shall be considered for short-listing of the candidates for interview only, and the selections shall be based only on the performance in the interview.
- With regard to the minimum requirement of educational qualification, screening, etc., relevant regulation of UGC / AICTE / NCTE will be applicable.
- The selected candidates may also be engaged for subsequent semester(s), if required.
Job/Position Description-
Tezpur University is looking for Guest Faculties for the Spring Semester 2023
Emoluments: Appointed Guest Faculties will be paid Rs. 1,500/- per lecture subject to a maximum of Rs.50,000/- per month. No other allowances will be admissible.

No. 02 /2023”.
The selected Guest Faculties would be required to be present in the campus to take the classes physically. Further, classes may be held through ONLINE MODE at any point of time due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Hence, the interested candidates must have the expertise and experience for the same besides having the required facilities at their end. Even when the classes are held ONLINE, the presence of the Guest Faculties in the campus is mandatory.
