About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with a number of members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye Laws and as per the provisions of the relevant Act.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential qualification: PhD in Science from a recognized University/Institute. Candidates who have submitted PhD thesis, but awaiting doctoral degree are also eligible to apply.
Desired past research experience: Expertise in organic synthesis, polymer synthesis and polymer self-assembly studies. Preference will be given to candidates having prior expertise in polymer crystallization-driven self-assembly. Experience in above-mentioned research fields should be supported by the outstanding publications in peer-reviewed journals, and other academic parameters.
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the post of Postdoctoral Research Associate (RA-1) in the research group of Dr. Anindita Das, School of Applied and Interdisciplinary Sciences (SAIS), IACS.
No. of Positions: One (01)
Research Area: Polymer Synthesis and their Crystallization-Driven Self-Assembly
Tenure: This position is temporary (initially for 6 months and can be extended up to another 6 months, subject to the performance of the candidate and recommendation of the evaluation committee at the end of the initial tenure). Candidates will have no right to claim (explicit or implicit) any post in the institute.
Fellowship: As per IACS rules

Selection procedure: Applications will be shortlisted on the basis of past academic record, research publications, match of the past research expertise with desired requirements and other academic parameters, as decided by the selection committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be communicated via email and called for an interview for the final selection. Merely satisfying the essential qualification does not guarantee that a candidate will be shortlisted for interview. IACS reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process if no suitable candidate is found.
