About- Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab) is an autonomous research institution under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, focusing on R&D of specific areas in Nano Science and Technology leading to new phenomena, processes, products and devices.
Research Area: Pharmaceutical Sciences / Physics/ Material Science/ Biological Sciences/ Nanotechnology Degree, OR Nanotechnology
Location: Mohali, Punjab
Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees in Pharmaceutical Sciences / Physics/ Material Science/ Biological Sciences/ Nanotechnology Degree, OR Nanotechnology.
Desirable Experience: Qualified in GATE/GPAT/CSIR-UGC-NET including lectureship or equivalent examination. Candidates with previous experience in Tuberculosis research/ Raman Spectroscopy/ Sensing/ Device Fabrication/ Drug design/ PCR handling and experience in scientific writing as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications will be preferred.
Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as 21.11.2025, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: Ultra-Sensitive CRISPR-SERS Platform for Detection,
Fingerprinting, and Resistance Profiling of Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Using PCA and Machine Learning
Principal Investigator: Dr. Rahul Verma (PI) and Dr. Kiran Shankar Hazra (Co-PI)

Fellowship: Rs. 56,000 + HRA per month
