About- Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab) is an autonomous research institution under the aegis of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, focusing on R&D of specific areas in Nano Science and Technology leading to new phenomena, processes, products and devices.
Research Area: Computational Biology/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Bio-Sciences/Bioinformaticse
Location: Mohali, Punjab
Eligibility/Qualification:
Essential Qualification: First Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG Degrees (Computational Biology/Chemistry/Physical Chemistry/Bio-Sciences/Bioinformatics) and also qualified in national level eligibility tests (e.g. NET/GATE/GPT/DST INSPIRE)
Desirable Experience: Research experience in Computational Biology/Chemistry and Bioinformatics, Molecular Dynamics Simulations, programming knowledge in Python, and experience in handling big data and Data Analysis, Density Functional Theory (DFT)
Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as of 15.06.2026. Which is relaxable for specific reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.

Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) under the
ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology
Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ICMR, Government of India, at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: Noninvasive and in situ forming peptide-polymer hydrogel containing CPP decorated nanoparticles/photoresponsive agents with crystallin aggregates disaggregating propensity for potential cataract therapy
Nature of the Project: The computational & bio-informatic part of the project will be conducted in strong collaboration with the experimental counterparts.

Fellowship: Rs. 56,000/- pm + HRA as applicable
