Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Essential Criteria:
  • Ph.D. with first class in ThermoFluid/Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong experience with computational software such as ANSYS or OpenFOAM.
  • M.Tech and B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with CGPA > 7.5.
  • At least one publication in a Q1 journal during Ph.D.
  • Desirable Criteria:
  • Prior experience with high-speed imaging (must be documented).
  • Ph.D. completed within the last two years.
  • Willingness to join immediately upon selection.
  • Note: 5% relaxation in marks may be given to SC/ST candidates. In case of selection of retired/superannuated government employees, salary will be fixed as per IRD norms.

Research Associate-II (01 position)

  • Conduct advanced research on meltblowing systems for processing waste plastic bottles into nonwoven materials.
  • Perform simulation and analysis using computational tools like ANSYS/OpenFOAM.
  • Carry out experimental validation using high-speed imaging and related instrumentation.
  • Support the design, development, and optimization of thermo-fluidic processes involved in polymer fiber fabrication.
  • Prepare technical reports, manuscripts, and project documentation.
