About- Mirza Ghalib College, a Muslim Minority Deficit Grant-in-aided College affiliated with Magadh University, is inviting applications for several Assistant Professor vacancies across various disciplines in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Sciences.

Research/Job Area-

Eligibility/Qualification–

Maximum Age: 55 years (as of January 1st, 2026).
Academic Requirements:
- Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in the concerned/relevant/allied subject.
- A relaxation of 5% is provided to Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s degree prior to September 19, 1991.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Must have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET) or SLET/SET.
- OR possess a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with UGC Regulations (candidates registered before July 11, 2009, must provide a specific certificate from the Registrar/Dean confirming fulfillment of five specific conditions including regular mode, external evaluation, and publications).

Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate/postgraduate courses, conducting research, and participating in college administrative activities.

Selection Methodology:

Shortlisting: Candidates are screened based on a 100-point scale (80 points for Academic Score, 10 for Research Publications, and 10 for Teaching Experience).
Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview (15 marks).
Final Merit List: Prepared based on total marks out of 115 (Academic Record + Interview).
