Eligibility/Qualification
Requirements
- Doctoral degree or equivalent in Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related subject.
- Experience in electrochemistry.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Strong laboratory and instrumental skills.
- Awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues, particularly gender equality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
- Strong engagement in contributing to battery technology advancements.
- Expertise in battery electrochemical characterization techniques.
- Experience in NMR and/or Raman spectroscopy.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Job Description
The postdoc will focus on the advanced physical and electrochemical characterization of biographite-silicon anodes used in lithium-ion batteries. Research includes:
- Understanding the structure and surface properties of materials in electrolyte contact.
- Analyzing electrochemical mechanisms and degradation.
- Investigating the relationship between the manufacturing process and material properties.
- Utilizing techniques such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, NMR, electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), in situ mass spectrometry (OLMS), and in situ Confocal Raman.
