Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Chemistry or a relevant field.
- Advanced understanding of surfactant self-assembly and phase equilibria.
- Experience in neutron and X-ray small-angle scattering experiments.
- Familiarity with other characterization techniques (optical microscopy, NMR, thermal analysis, spectroscopy) is advantageous.
- Experience with amphiphilic systems out of equilibrium, such as under shear flow, is preferred.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct research into surfactant self-assembly structures in ionic liquids.
- Collaborate with Professor Gregory Warr and the research team, including collaborators at the University of Western Australia and facility scientists.
- Produce significant progress in experimental research under shear conditions.
- Jointly supervise junior research group members.
- Prepare drafts for publication and present findings through various formats.
