The Food Analyst position is for the Central Instrumentation Lab, while the SRF position is for the Office of the Dean (Academics).
Eligibility / Qualification
1. Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Candidates must meet one of the prescribed qualification routes:
- M.Tech / M.Sc. / Ph.D. in relevant disciplines including Food Process Engineering, Food Technology, Food Safety & Quality Assurance, Food Science, Agricultural Processing, Food & Nutrition, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Dairy Technology, Post-Harvest Technology and related fields.
- M.Sc. with a 3-year undergraduate + 2-year postgraduate pathway in the relevant disciplines, along with 2 years of experience and NET qualification, or a Ph.D. in the relevant disciplines.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) with the prescribed 4-year undergraduate + 2-year postgraduate pathway.
Age limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women as of the last date of application.
Remuneration: ₹42,000 + HRA as applicable.
2. Food Analyst
Educational Qualification:
A Master’s/Doctorate degree in any of the prescribed disciplines, including:

Alternatively, candidates may possess the Associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) qualification through the Food Analysts examination conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India).
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in food analysis in an institution, research institution or research laboratory after obtaining the prescribed minimum educational qualification.
Candidates must also have qualified the Food Analyst Examination (FAE) conducted by FSSAI.
Age limit: 45 years as of the last date of application.
Remuneration: ₹60,000 per month, fixed consolidated emolument.
Job Description
Senior Research Fellow
The selected SRF will support the Office of the Dean (Academics) in:
- Assisting with day-to-day academic and administrative activities.
- Maintaining and updating academic records, student records, registers and databases.
- Coordinating with departments, faculty, students and administrative sections on academic matters.
- Supporting student registration, course enrolment, attendance, academic progress and curriculum-related activities.
- Providing support for the Board of Studies, Senate, academic committees, accreditation, ranking and institutional reporting.
- Performing other academic/administrative duties assigned by the Dean (Academics) or Institute.
Food Analyst
The notification specifies the position for the Central Instrumentation Lab and requires candidates to have the prescribed academic qualification, relevant food-analysis experience and FSSAI Food Analyst Examination qualification.

Application Fee: ₹500. SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates are exempted from payment of the fee.
Selection Process: Eligible shortlisted candidates will be called for a written examination followed by an interview. The interview will be conducted in person at the NIFTEM-T main campus.

Tenure
The appointment is initially for six months. Renewal will be carried out every six months based on performance.
