Professor: (SN. I to 3) Eligibility:
i) An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/relevant discipline/subject and published work of high quality, actively engaged in teaching/research/Extension with evidence of published work with, a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer-reviewed NAAS rated or UGC-listed journals
ii) A minimum of ten years of T/R/E experience in university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/ or at equivalent level in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 / 15600-39100 (AGP 6000/-) as per 6 th pay commission/ Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 37400-67000+ Rs. 9000 AGP as per 6th pay commission, out of which 02 yrs must be at the level of Associate Professor (pre revised scale of Rs. 37400-67000+AGP 9000/-) or equivalent at the University/National Level Institutions Associate Professor (SN. 4 to 7 )
- A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/relevant disciplines/subject.
- A master degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed).
- A minimum of eight years of experience of T/R/E in an academic/research/extension position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/Extension unit/ industry in the Prerevised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 / 15600-39100 (AGP 6000) as per 6ff pay commission serving in Agriculture/ veterinary university/ICAR/CSlR or other such research organizations/institutes with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed NAAS rated journals.
Assistant Professor (SN. 8 to 10) Eligibility (A or B):
- A master degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC(CSIR/ICAR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil. Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET SLE T SET : Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. program prior to July I l, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET SLET!SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :
- The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
- The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;
- An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;
- The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work, out of which at least one is in a referred journal;
- The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D. work in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC / ICSSR/ CSIR or any similar agency.
- The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;
The fulfillment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or the Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Program in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET. OR
B. The Ph.D. degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

2. The unfolded application must be sent in A4 size envelope. All the seams & openings should be sealed through a transparent good quality tape.
General Instructions for candidates for appointment by selection for Teaching
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- The retirement age for all teaching/Scientific posts will be as per university rules.
- The University reserves the right to alter/modify any condition at any stage.
- Having fulfilled the essential qualifications will not entitle an applicant to be called for interview.

The Hard copy of application form already submitted online with all enclosures including the proof of application fee paid, (non refundable) i.e. Rs. 1500/- (Rs. 750/- for SC/ST/Persons with disability (PW D)) must reach to the Registrar, SVP University of Agriculture & Technology, Meerut-2501 10 (U.P.) by registered post within 15 days from the closing date for submission of application form online.
