Eligibility/Qualification–

Educational qualifications, experience, and other criteria align with Schedule ‘E’ of the NIT Statute.

Degrees must be acquired from an Institute/University recognized by UGC/AICTE/AIU/CFTI.

For Engineering Disciplines: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline with a First Class in the preceding degrees (B.Tech./B.E. and M.Tech./M.E.). Candidates who pursued a direct Ph.D. after B.E./B.Tech. are also eligible provided they obtained a First Class at the Bachelor’s level.

For Basic Sciences: Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline with a First Class in the preceding degrees (B.Sc. or equivalent and M.Sc. or equivalent).
