About- National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur is an Institution of National Importance, by an Act of Parliament (Act 29 of 2007) namely, the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, which received the assent of the President of India on the 5th June 2007. It was known as RIT Jamshedpur and established on August 15, 1960, to train young engineers for the country’s economic growth. NIT Jamshedpur is situated in the western part of the city of Jamshedpur. The Kharkai river and beautiful hills on one side, with forests on the other, create an ideal campus for learning and research. The campus covers an area of 341.30 acres. Eligibility/Qualification–
B.Sc. with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Mathematics & Computing or in allied areas with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and Ph.D. from a recognized University/Institute.
OR
- B.Sc. with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA and M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Mathematics & Computing or in allied areas with 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized Indian University/Institute and CSIR/UGC NET qualified.
OR B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics/ Mathematics & Computing or in allied areas with post Ph.D. teaching experience of 10+ years in reputed institutions.
Job/Position Description –
NIT Jamshedpur, an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites application from Indian Nationals possessing excellent academic background along with a commitment to quality teaching and research for Adhoc Faculty Positions with the following requirements in the Department of Mathematics possessing requisite educational qualifications with other details as below:

| Remuneration | Rs.70000/- per month (consolidated) to the candidates with Ph.D. degree. OR Rs.50000/- per month (consolidated) to the candidates without Ph.D. degree. |
| Period of Engagement | Initially for One Semester which may extended as per the requirement. |
