The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, India invites application for ILBS-Tata Fellowship 2019 from eligible and interested candidates
About- ILBS-Tata Fellowship is a novel effort of its kind initiated by Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) and funded by Tata Education and Development Trust. The fellowship is meant to invite eminent clinicians and basic scientists from around the world as well as young researchers working in the field of regenerative medicine to get involved with ILBS by sharing their experience and helping in set-up of the facility under their expert guidance. For young researchers this will serve as a platform for bidirectional flow of ideas to gain experience and enhance science. ILBS-Tata Fellowship 2019
Research/Job Area- Basic scientists working in the field of regenerative medicine
Location- The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi, India
Job/Position Description-
Senior Positions designated as ILBS-Tata Professor of Eminence for a duration ranging from 3 to 12 months. There is no age-bar for Senior Positions. The following points will be taken into consideration for the selection of a Senior Position: Years of experience, number of research publications in the required field, number of PhD or students supervised in the field of Hepatology and/or Liver regeneration, unique technique, know how or expertise, patents, etc. Senior Fellows will be expected to mentor and provide research ideas (wisdom) for the ongoing and new research projects in the Institute. They should have 10+ years of experience in the field of regenerative medicine.
Junior Positions designated as ILBS-Tata Emerging Leader for a duration ranging from 6 to 12 months.
Age bar for the Junior Positions is 40 years +. The following points will be taken into consideration for the selection of a Junior Position: Years of experience, thesis work, number of research publications in the field of regenerative medicine and/or liver, research field on which he/she was last working, does he have any fresh research idea which may be of interest for ILBS, whether Institute will be helped by the inputs received from the Young researcher, unique technique, know how or expertise. Junior Fellows will be required to do hands-on in the laboratory or clinics in their respective fields. They should have 5+ years of experience in the field of regenerative medicine.
Duration Of Fellowship
For Senior Positions: 1-6 months
For Junior Positions: 3-12 months
How to Apply- Applicants for either of the positions will be required to submit their bio-sketch along with the proposal in a prescribed format.
The proposal should contain a novel idea on which the fellows are already working or they would like to work or mentor, while their tenure at the Institute.
The fellows may also be required to help setup the facility related to their research at the Institute.
The novel idea or proposal should be written in a prescribed format with a proper time-line based activities.
The Bio-sketch along with the proposal has to be submitted online at tatafellowship@ilbs.in.The biosketch including the proposal should be sent as a single attachment as PDF.
The file should not be exceeding 100 MB. Text in the document must be in Times New Roman Font size 12 in a portrait orientation, with single space between the lines, and double space between the paras.
The file should not contain any electronic signatures, hyperlinks and URLs (unless as a citation).
