Eligibility/Qualification–
- Ph.D. degree in Botany/Bioscience/Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology
- Postdoctoral experience of minimum one year
- Excellent written communication skills as evident by the publications in SCI index journals (total IF >5)
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for ONE post of Research Associate in the following project.The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The details are given below:
Project title: UKRI-GCRF South Asian Nitrogen Hub (SANH) Work package 2.1b – Detailed molecular studies (proteomics) of contrasting genotypes of rice differing in NUE and the identification of candidate genes
Job purpose
- Evaluation of the molecular basis of differing nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) among rice cultivars through proteome approach and identification of the candidate genes for NUE and breeding strategies
Main Responsibilities
Collaborate with the PI in the research design; Conduct the experiments at the experimental field of Indian Agricultural Research Institute (New Delhi) and Aligarh Muslim University (Aligarh); Collect samples from the field and analyse leaf and root proteome and transcriptome in the laboratory; Analyze data sets, and prepare them for the data-sharing platform upon which the data will be available beyond the completion of the project; Assist the PI in the management and reporting, coordination and research design activities
Emoluments: Rs. 47,000/- per month (Fixed)
