About-  National Forensic Sciences University, an Institution of National Importance is the world’s first and only University dedicated to Forensic, Behavioural, Cyber Security, Digital Forensic, Legal and allied Sciences. It was established by the Government of India through the Act, 2020 (32 of 2020) with the objective of fulfilling the acute shortage against the increasing demand for forensic experts in the country and around the world. Eligibility/Qualification–

Assistant Professor (Contractual)

Essential Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade).
• A Ph.D. in the concerned/relevant/allied subject from a recognized Indian University or an equivalent foreign university.
• Good Academic Record as prescribed by the University.

Discipline-Specific Qualifications

Forensic Biology/Biotechnology

• Master’s in Forensic Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Genetics, Human Genetics, Molecular Biology, Forensic Biotechnology, Forensic Dentistry, or equivalent specialization.

Forensic Chemistry & Toxicology

• Master’s in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacy, Pharmacology, or related specialization.

Forensic Physics/Ballistics/Fingerprint & Questioned Documents

• Master’s in Forensic Science, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Criminology and Forensic Science, Applied Sciences, or relevant specialization.

Cyber Security & Digital Forensics Domains

• M.Sc./MCA/ME/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering, Information Security, Cyber Security, Digital Forensics, Cyber Forensics, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, IoT Security, or related disciplines.

Desirable Qualification

• Minimum two research publications in UGC-CARE-listed journals, Web of Science, or SCOPUS-indexed journals.

Relaxation

• 5% relaxation in qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates as per Government of India norms.

Job/Position Description- 

National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Jaipur Campus, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has invited applications from highly qualified and motivated candidates for various Contractual Assistant Professor positions in the fields of Forensic Sciences, Cyber Security, and Digital Forensics. The appointments will be made on a contractual basis for a period of eleven months or until regular appointments are made, whichever is earlier.

NFSU Jaipur is seeking faculty members with strong academic credentials, research experience, and interdisciplinary teaching capabilities. Vacancies are available across the School of Forensic Sciences and the School of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics. Candidates with Ph.D. degrees and research publications are encouraged to apply.

• Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level courses.
• Conduct research in their respective specialization areas.
• Publish quality research in reputed journals.
• Participate in interdisciplinary academic and research activities.
• Guide student projects and research work.
• Contribute to curriculum development and laboratory activities.
• Support academic, administrative, and institutional development initiatives of the University.

Salary / Remuneration

Eligibility for Pay Levels

₹90,000 (Assistant Professor)

• Ph.D. in relevant discipline.
• Minimum 60% marks in preceding degree.
• Good academic record.
• At least two research publications.

₹75,000 (Assistant Professor – Lower Remuneration)

• Master’s Degree with minimum 60%.
• Qualified UGC-NET or equivalent examination.

₹68,000 (Lecturer)

• Master’s Degree with minimum 60%.
• Preference to candidates pursuing Ph.D. from recognized institutions.
