About- The Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) was established by an Act of Parliament (Act 25 of 2009) as a new Central University and is fully funded by the Government of India. The Central University of Rajasthan is committed to inculcating and sustaining quality in all the dimensions of Higher Education, viz. teaching, learning, research, extension and governance while catering to regional and global needs. CURAJ offers 50+ Masters’s and Ph.D. programs in its 29 departments. The University operates from its permanent campus of 550 (approx.) acres and it has adequate hostels housing nearly 2000 students on the campus.

Eligibility/Qualification–
- General Qualifications for Assistant Professor:
- Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University.
- Minimum 55% marks in the Master’s degree and at least 60% marks in at least two preceding examinations for UR candidates (for Commerce, Economics, Hindi, English, Computer Science, and Management unless specified otherwise). For reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST, PWD), the minimum marks in Master’s degree is 50% and 55% in at least two preceding examinations.
- Qualified UGC-National Eligibility Test (NET) in the relevant subject.
- Candidates with a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with the UGC Regulations, 2018 (Para 4.1(I)(A)(ii)) are exempted from the NET requirement 1.
- Specific Qualifications (Examples):
- Commerce (M.Com): Master’s Degree in Commerce, qualified UGC-NET in Commerce.
- Economics (M.A. in Economics): Master’s Degree in Economics, qualified UGC-NET in Economics.
- Hindi (M.A. in Hindi): Master’s Degree in Hindi, qualified UGC-NET in Hindi.
- English (M.A. in English): Master’s Degree in English, qualified UGC-NET in English.
- Computer Science (M.Sc. in Computer Science): Master’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline, qualified UGC-NET in Computer Science or equivalent qualifying tests conducted by Govt. of India.
- Management (Master of Business Administration): Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline and Master’s Degree in Business Administration/PGDM/C.A./ICWA/M.Com. with First Class or equivalent at master level. Minimum two years of professional experience after acquiring the Master’s degree. Qualified UGC-NET in Management/relevant discipline.
Job Position Description–
The Central University of Rajasthan is inviting eligible candidates for interviews for the appointment of Assistant Professors on a purely contractual basis for its Open & Distance Learning and Online Programme. These appointments will be for a period of less than one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The selected candidates will be appointed on a purely contractual basis for a period of less than one year or until further orders, whichever is earlier. They will be required to perform duties and work as assigned by the Central University of Rajasthan from time to time 1. The consolidated monthly salary will be ₹ 50,000/-, subject to revision. The candidate will not be entitled to any other benefits admissible to regular employees.
