Cell Carcinoma Research Fellowship: The AACR-Exelixis Renal Cell Carcinoma Research Fellowship aims to encourage and support a postdoctoral or clinical research fellow in conducting renal cell carcinoma research, fostering a successful career path in this field. The research may span basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences research with direct applicability and relevance to renal cell carcinoma. The two-year grant of $130,000 supports the fellow’s salary, benefits, and may allocate funds for non-personnel expenses related to the research project.

Research Project Criteria
Research projects must fall within basic, translational, clinical, or population sciences research and demonstrate direct applicability and relevance to renal cell carcinoma.

Eligibility Criteria

CriteriaDetails
Educational QualificationHold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a related field. Not currently a candidate for a further doctoral degree. Completed the most recent doctoral degree within the past five years (degree conferred after August 1, 2019). For medical degree holders, the most recent doctoral degree or medical residency, whichever is later, must be completed within the past five years.
Position RequirementHold a mentored research position as a postdoctoral fellow, clinical research fellow, or equivalent. Future positions must be confirmed at submission and cannot be contingent upon receiving the grant. If the future position is at a different institution, additional verification may be required.
CitizenshipNo citizenship or geographic requirements. Visa status must provide sufficient time to complete the project and grant term at the applying institution.
AACR MembershipAACR members in good standing (dues paid for the current year). Reduced membership rates are available for applicants from countries with emerging economies. Nonmembers must apply for AACR membership and obtain a statement of support from an Active AACR member. Lapsed members must renew by the application deadline.
