About- Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kottayam at Valavoor, Pala, Kerala, is one of the IIITs established as “Institutions of National Importance” by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the ambit of IIIT (PPP) Act 2017. IIIT Kottayam campus is situated at Valavoor, Pala, Kottayam – a picture location spread over in 53 acres of land – allotted by Govt. of Kerala in the southern part of the state commonly referred to as God’s Own Country.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential:

PhD in the relevant area of CSE/IT
At least one publication in an SCI journal

Age:

Preferably below 35 years.

Here’s what the role involves:

Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students across core areas of CSE/IT.
Contributing to research and interdisciplinary projects.
Participating in institute activities as assigned by the administration.
Appearing for all stages of the selection process: written test, presentation, and interview.

Important notes about the selection process:

Written exam syllabus will follow IIIT Kottayam’s B.Tech CSE core subjects.
Minimum qualifying marks in the written test:
- General: 60 percent
- OBC-NCL: 50 percent
- SC/ST: 45 percent
Only those who qualify in the written test will be considered for presentation/interview.
Shortlisted candidates will receive AC III-tier travel reimbursement for the interview stage.
Candidates appointed under this contract role will not receive certain regular-cadre benefits like NPS or LTC, though leave benefits will be provided.
