Eligibility/Qualification–

Professor: 05 (Food Process Engineering/Agricultural Process Engineering) (Out of five Posts: UR- 4. OBC – n Pav Level:14 as Vll CPC:

Essential Qualifications:

1. Doctoral Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Technology/Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing.
2. 10 years’ experience in the relevant subject out of which atleast 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band 3 of IQs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 and Research / Teaching / Extension Education provided 2years of experience should be as associate Professor in the Grade Pay of Rs.9000 (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position (Level 13 A of 7^th CPC).

iii. The Candidate should have made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.

Experience: Certificate in support of experience should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the Organization’s letterhead bearing the date of issue, specified period of work, pay scale, and specified job description issued by the Competent Authority with name and Not exceeding 52 years. There is no maximum age limit for IIFPT employees. For candidates belonging to the OBC category, 3 years age relaxation as per Govt. of India rules.

Professor: 01 (Biochemistry) (UR): Pay Level:14 as per CPC:

Essential Qualification:

1. Doctoral Degree in Biochemistry specialized in Food Processing.
2. 10 years’ experience in the relevant subject out ofwhich atleast 8 years should be as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band 3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 and Research / Teaching / Extension Education provided 2 years experience is as an Associate Professor in the Grade Pay of Rs.9000 (pre-revised) or in an equivalent position (Level 13 A of 7^th CPC).
3. The Candidate should have made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.

Associate professor: 01 (Food Process Engineering/Agricultural Process Engineering)

(EWS): Pay Level:13A as per Vil CPC:

Essential Qualifications:

1. Doctoral Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Technology / Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing.
2. Doctoral degree in relevant engineering with 6 years’ experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in anequivalent position in the Pay

Band-3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/ Rs.7000/Rs.8000 (Level 10/11/120f 7^th CPC) having made contribution to research/teaching/extension Education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact

(or)                                                                             

Master Degree in relevant Engineering subject with 10 year’s experience as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the Pay Band:3 of Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay of Rs.5400/Rs.6000/Rs.7000/Rs.8000 (Level 10/11/12 of 7^th CPC) having made a contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.

Experience:

Certificate in support of experience should be in proper format i.e. it should be on the Organization’s letter head bearing the date of issue, specified period of work, pay scale and specified job description issued by Competent Authority with name and designation.

Age Limit for the post of Associate Professor: Not exceeding 47yrs. There is no maximum age limit for the IIFPT employees.

Assistant Professor:01 (Food Process Engineering/Agricultural Process Engineering) (UR): Pay Level:10 as per Vll CPC:

Essential Qualification

Master’s Degree in Post-Harvest Technology, Food Engineering, Food Process Engineering, Food Technology, Agricultural Process Engineering or Agricultural Engineering/ Chemical Engineering specialized in Food Processing.

Assistant Professor:01 (Agricultural Entomology) (EWS): Pay Level:10 as per VIl CPC:      

Essential Qualification – Master’s Degree in Agricultural Entomology.

Age Limit for the post of Assistant Professors:

Not exceeding 32 years and 35 years in case of Ph.D holders. There is no maximum age limit for the IIFPT employees.

Applications are invited from bright, dynamic and highly motivated candidates with requisite eligibility criteria as furnished below for the following faculty positions at IIFPT, Thanjavur on direct recruitment basis.

The candidates must apply through online in the application form available in the Institute website www.iili)t.edu.in and required application fee of Rs.500/- has to be paid through SBI Collect available in the Institute’s web-site: www.iifpl.edu.in. SC/ST/PwD and Women candidates are exempted from payment of Application fee.

The off-line application sent directly to the Institute will not be considered.
