Eligibility/Qualification–
Details of minimum eligibility and other information, Minimum qualification for direct recruitment for the post of Assistant Professor will be as laid down by UGC, New Delhi vide UGC Regulations 2018 on minimum qualifications for appointment of teachers and other academic staff in Universities and colleges vide notification No. 271 New Delhi, Wednesday July 18/ASHADHA 27, 1940,UGC Notification date I l. 10.2021 regarding amendment in UGC regulation 2018 and as adopted by the University, from time to time.
Assistant Professor:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
Qualifications and experience for the appointment shall be as per UGC Regulation 18 July 2018.
Note: Reservation for Women and Persons with Disabilities (P. W.D.) candidates are subject to the rules of Govt. of Madhya Pradesh. Appointments shall be as per the decision of the Honorable High Court pertaining to reservation.
Service Conditions, reservations and relaxations shall be as per the University norms, regulations and State Government norms.
More than two children born to the candidates on or after 26-01-2001, will not be eligible to apply. Candidate will have to give an affidavit regarding this.
