Research/Job Area- Physics/Electrical Engineering or related area

Eligibility/Qualification–
a. Ph.D. degree in Physics/Electrical Engineering or related area are eligible to apply for the postdoc position.
b. We expect candidate should have published papers in the experimental quantum optics/photonics/laser spectroscopy or the related area in international journals of repute and must have good communication and writing skills in English.
c. Experience in working with optical cryostat, nano-fabrication, micro-wave based experiments, time-resolved/anti-bunching emission experiments and LabVIEW based instrumentation is desirable.
Job/Position Description-
Chanakya Postdoctoral Fellow in the area of experimental quantum photonics in the Department of Physics at IIT Ropar
The Laboratory for Nano-scale Optics and Meta-materials (www.iitrpr.ac.in/LaNOM) in the Department of Physics at IIT Ropar is looking for a motivated postdoctoral candidate to work in quantum technology applications using NV centers in diamond. The position is contractual (maximum one year), and will be funded by i-HUB IISER Pune Chanakya postdoctoral fellowship scheme.
The project involves the experimental studies on the generation of single photons from nitrogen-vacancy centers (NV) in diamond and its use in quantum technology applications. We expect the postdoc to be the part of the team to perform experiments on the state-of-the-art quantum optical experimental facilities at IIT Ropar.
Fellowship: Rs. 80,000/- consolidated per month.
