Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. degree holders in Science or Engineering (or those having their thesis submission certificate), with expertise in experimental condensed matter physics. The applicant should have completed a PhD within the past 5 years.
Upper Age Limit: Below 35 years on the last date of submission of the application (Relaxation as per funding agency norms).
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the Post-Doc Fellow position (1) under the mentorship of Assistant Professor Dr. Ritu Gupta (PI), in the Department of Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar. The candidate will work on the project entitled “Growth and Characterization of Novel van der Waals Magnetic Materials’” funded by ANRF under the PMECRG scheme. The candidate should have expertise in growing single crystals of quantum or functional materials, with experience in their structural, electrical, and magnetic characterization using tools such as XRD, PPMS and magnetometry. A strong publication record and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are expected.
Post: Postdoctoral Fellow
Positions: 01
Duration: Initially for one year, extendable up to one additional year based on the performance or until the project’s completion, whichever is earlier.
Emoluments: Fellowship Rs. 58000/- per month + 9% HRA per month.
