Eligibility/Qualification–
Essential
- PhD in a relevant field
OR
Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology/Computer Science - Seven years of experience in industrial, academic, or S&T organizations
- Minimum two years of hands-on experience in HPC system administration
Desirable
- Certification in system administration
- RHCE or equivalent
- C-DAC PG Diploma in IT Infrastructure/System & Security
- Post-Graduate Diploma in HPC System Administration
- Experience in installing and optimizing large-scale scientific applications

HPC Facility Manager
Equivalent to Project Scientist III
Here’s what the role involves:
- Managing and maintaining large-scale HPC platforms and computer clusters
- Developing automation scripts
- Maintaining Linux-based PCs used in instructional labs
- Supporting a 3D visualization setup
- Handling NSM webpages and related updates
- Overseeing technical infrastructure such as AC systems and UPS units
- Preparing technical reports and summaries
- Helping scientific users install, compile, and optimize scientific software
- Guiding users on effective use of shared HPC resources and job managers
- Contributing to development and porting of large computational codes
- Coordinating with data-centre support teams, service providers, and user groups
- Organizing training programs for the HPC user community
