Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

PhD

Strongly Desirable:

Minimum 3 years of post-PhD experience in semiconductor device R&D (lab or industry).
Proven track record in managing funded semiconductor R&D projects.
Skilled in overseeing lab resources and driving initiatives to improve productivity.
Leadership in mentoring students and staff.- Patent generation & technology transfer.

Desirable Skill and experience:

Strong background in semiconductor devices.
Experience in semiconductor device characterization and cleanroom practices.
Strong publication record in reputed journals/conferences.
Proposal writing and technical documentation skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Profile:

Managing Semiconductor Device and Fabrication Projects.
Creating technical solutions resulting in project delivery, prototypes, publications and patents.
Mentoring students and staff towards technical research and education.
Creating educational outreach and external / internal partner engagement through proposals,reports, posters, presentation, advertisements and other documents.
Managing lab resources and other developing productivity enhancement initiatives.

IITB Project Recruitment: Project title: Sensor Integrated Spiking Neural Network System with On-chip Learning

About the project: This is the first of its kind of chip in the world where quantum tunneling enables a very current source for a spiking neuron. As a next step, we propose a keyword recognition chip to recognize command words like “OK Google”. The chip architecture is inspired by human audition. It integrates the preprocessing of the analog signal from a microphone, spiking recurrent neuro-synaptic reservoir with fixed weights, and a learning layer with programmable synapses. A complete spiking neural network chip will enable various edge computing applications.

Pay Details: Level PR-O3: Salary range (78800 – 209200) per month + other allowances as applicable.
