  • Non-Engineering: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with First Class in preceding degrees.
  • Note: If “First Class” is not explicitly mentioned, a minimum of 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% marks is required.

2. Desirable Criteria by Level

  • Professor (Level 14A): 20+ SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications; 3+ sponsored projects/patents; supervision of 2+ completed Ph.D. students.
  • Associate Professor (Level 13A2): 10+ SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications; 2+ sponsored projects/patents; supervision of 1+ completed Ph.D. student.
  • Assistant Professor (Level 12): 5+ SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications; 1+ sponsored project/patent; Ph.D. supervision (ongoing/completed).
  • Assistant Professor (Level 10): 3+ SCI/SCIE/SSCI publications.

3. Age Limit

  • Candidates should be below 60 years.
  • Preference is given to those within 35 years for entry-level Assistant Professor positions (Level 10 & 12).
  • Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Government of India norms.
