Eligibility-
- Engineering Disciplines: B.E./B.Tech. (or equivalent) AND M.E./M.Tech. (or equivalent) AND Ph.D. in a relevant/equivalent discipline with a first class in the preceding degrees. (B.E./B.Tech. with direct Ph.D. and a first class in the preceding degree will also be considered).
- Architecture Department: B.Arch. (or equivalent) AND M.Arch./M.Plan. (or equivalent). Assistant Professor positions may be considered with specified professional experience in lieu of a Ph.D. requirements for entry levels (e.g., M.Arch/M.Plan with 1-2 years of experience).
- Non-Engineering Departments: Ph.D. degree in the relevant or equivalent discipline with a first class in preceding degrees.
- First Class Equivalency: If a “first class” is not specified by the university, a minimum of 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% aggregate marks is required.
- Age Limit: Below 60 years. However, candidates under 35 years of age will be preferred for the entry-level posts of Assistant Professor (Level 10 and 12). Standard age relaxations apply for reserved categories.

The National Institute of Technology Raipur (NIT Raipur) is inviting applications from Indian Nationals and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) for backlog faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor (Grade I & Grade II), Associate Professor, and Professor. These positions are open across various engineering, science, and architecture departments. The institute seeks highly qualified candidates with a strong academic background, research publications, and a commitment to teaching and administrative duties.

Along with essential qualifications, the institute seeks candidates fulfilling the following desirable criteria for their respective roles:
- Professor: Requires at least 20 papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals, at least 3 ongoing/completed externally sponsored research projects or patents, supervision of at least two completed Ph.D.s and one ongoing, and the organization of 3 conferences or 5-day workshops.
- Associate Professor: Requires at least 10 papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals, at least 2 ongoing/completed externally sponsored research projects or patents, supervision of at least one completed Ph.D. and one ongoing, and the organization of 2 conferences or 5-day workshops.
- Assistant Professor (Level 12): Requires at least 5 papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals, at least 1 ongoing/completed externally sponsored research project or patent, supervision of at least one completed/ongoing Ph.D., and the organization of 1 conference or 5-day workshop.
- Assistant Professor (Level 10): Requires good quality publications with at least 3 papers in SCI/SCIE/SSCI journals.
