Eligibility/Qualification–

The eligibility criteria and qualifications are in accordance with the UGC Regulations 2018 .

A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University .
Besides the above qualification, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR .
Exemption from NET may be granted to candidates with a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their subsequent amendments, provided specific conditions are met (e.g., Ph.D. awarded in regular mode, thesis evaluated by two external examiners, open viva voce conducted, research papers published from Ph.D. work, and presentations in conferences/seminars) .
A relaxation of 5% in marks (from 55% to 50%) may be provided to Ph.D. Degree holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to September 19, 1991 .
A relaxation of 5% at Bachelor’s and Master’s level is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwBD categories .

Job/Position Description-

The direct recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors in the Colleges shall be on the basis of merit through an all-India advertisement and selection by duly constituted Selection Committees . The selection process includes an assessment through a presentation by the candidate and a final selection by a duly constituted Selection Committee.

Fees for Assistant Professor.
Rs.500/- for UR/OBC/EWS category.
No application fee will be charged to applicants from SC, ST, PwBD categories and Women applicants.
