About- The Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS) is a society registered under Act XXI of 1860 and the corresponding State Act viz. the West Bengal State Registration Act 1961, with its headquarters at 2A & 2B, Raja S. C. Mallick Road, Calcutta – 700 032, West Bengal, India. It has a Governing Council with a number of members elected or nominated and the Registrar as its Non-Member Secretary. The Council has the functions, duties and power as envisaged in the Memorandum and Bye-Laws and as per the provisions of the relevant Act.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Ph.D in Physics with at least one year post-doctoral research experience. Consistently good academic record, publications and research experience in the areas of cold atoms, quantum optics and related fields are desirable.
Job/Position Description-
Research Associate-III (RA-III) under National Quantum Mission
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the appointment of one Research Associate-III (RA-III) to work under the supervision of Professor Bimalendu Deb, School of Physical Sciences,
IACS, for the National Quantum Mission (NQM) project entitled “Field-deployable quantumenhanced sensors on integrated hybrid platform”. The position is initially for one year, but extendable depending on the performance of the Associate.
Fellowship: Rupees 67,000 + 27% HRA per month
