About- The Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IIT Bhubaneswar) is inviting applications for a temporary research associate position in the School of Infrastructure. The project is titled “Implementation of World Bank Assisted Program on Rejuvenating Watersheds for Agricultural Resilience through Innovative Development REWARD: Odisha.” The funding agency is DSC&WD, Govt. of Odisha. The initial appointment is for one year, with possible performance-based extension up to two years or until the project’s end. The selection process will be based on interview. Eligibility/Qualification–

Required Qualifications: Master’s or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in software development, ideally with exposure to cyber-physical systems simulations, operational technology (OT), or Industrial Control Systems (ICS).

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure-as-code tools is an advantage.

Proficiency in programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, C++, and Java.

Strong foundation in power systems, smart grids, SCADA, and Cyber-Physical Systems.

Familiarity with OT simulation frameworks or digital twins.

Research Associate – Technical

The Research Associate will be involved in developing and enhancing a cyber range platform designed specifically for power grids. The position will require the individual to:

Develop and implement OT simulations and security protocols.
Work with various software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C++) to model and simulate cyber-physical systems.
Support infrastructure automation through tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware.
Conduct network traffic analysis and apply secure coding practices.
Prepare and deliver technical documentation and user manuals.
Collaborate with internal teams and trainees to foster knowledge sharing.
