Eligibility/Qualification –
Essential:
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry
- At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) journal
Desirable:
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools
- Experience with ab initio and DFT calculations
- Familiarity with PDB search and data analysis
Job/Position Description –
Applications are invited for the temporary position of Research Associate in the New Chemistry Unit, INCASR, Bengaluru, under the guidance of Prof. Bani Kanta Sarma. The selected candidate will contribute to advanced research in Chemistry and Biochemistry, with a focus on computational and bioinformatics approaches.

The selected Research Associate will:
- Conduct independent and collaborative research in the areas of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
- Utilize bioinformatics tools and computational chemistry methods (ab initio, DFT).
- Perform PDB search and structural data analysis.
- Assist in preparation of research manuscripts and project-related documentation.
