Eligibility/Qualification –
Essential Qualification
- Ph.D. degree in Condensed Matter Physics
Desirable Qualification
- Strong background in condensed matter/material physics
- Experience in superconductivity and low-dimensional/frustrated magnetism
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Single crystal growth
- Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS)
- SQUID magnetometer measurements
Age Limit
Maximum 35 years (as on the last date of application)
Job/Position Description –
Applications are invited for a temporary Research Associate position at the CPMU Unit, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), Bengaluru. The selected candidate will work under the guidance of Prof. Sundaresan on advanced research in condensed matter physics, with emphasis on superconductivity and low-dimensional/frustrated magnetism.

Designation: Research Associate (Temporary Position)
- Conduct high-quality research in condensed matter physics under the supervision of Prof. Sundaresan
- Perform experimental work related to superconductivity and magnetic materials
- Grow and characterize single crystals
- Carry out measurements using PPMS and SQUID magnetometer
- Contribute to publications, reports, and ongoing research activities of the CPMU Unit
