Atal Incubation Centre- Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (AIC-CCMB) invites application for Research Associate -Science Communications from eligible and interested candidates

About- CPHMS is India’s first scientific and policy think tank established to enable and promote the development and use of 21st century human-centric methodologies, such as 3D tissues, organoids, microfluidic chips, and predictive models of human diseases in biomedical research and drug discovery that will effectively strive to replace the use of animals. The Centre publishes papers and conducts research to explore the innovations, economics, and regulation of human– specific models, and their impact on human health. It is also involved in various capacity building/training/educational programs, including webinars, workshops, and lecture courses. The Centre also engages with different stakeholders, including academia, industry, regulatory and funding bodies to facilitate the transition of these emerging technologies from the lab to end-users.

Research/Job Area- In cell biology, molecular biology, or pharmacology

Location- Hyderabad, India

Eligibility/Qualification–

• Post graduate with 2-3 years research experience OR fresh PhD (in cell biology, molecular biology, or pharmacology)
• Familiar with cell culture techniques
• Experience of handling research projects independently either during MSc or PhD
• Strong writing and science communication skills
• Experience in handling and organizing small or large scale meetings and conferences
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail

AIC-CCMB is an incubator established at the CSIR- Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology by Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog with a wide array of programs and initiatives like CPHMS.

Term of Employment: Full-time

Reports to: Senior Research Associate, CPHMS

Location: Hyderabad, India

Remuneration: Rs. 60,000 -70,000 per month

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Write open access publications, scientific reviews, and popular science articles to contribute to the knowledge base of human-relevant technologies, including vitro biology, 3D cell cultures, organoids, organs-on-chip, computational and systems biology.
• Independently handle, perform research and analysis for science policy projects related to non-animal methodologies (These projects are not wet lab research based).
• Coordinate with academicians, industry personnel to co-author white papers with and draft concept notes, summaries and more as required.
• Draft the Quarterly newsletter of the Centre, which includes, op-eds, articles, and informational videos.
• Organize multi-stakeholder working committee meetings and prepare reports for the same
• Organize small- and large-scale conferences, workshops, and webinars to increase awareness and training for human-relevant methods in India.
• Draft grant applications to increase funding for the Centre and non-animal methodologies in India
• Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by the organization.
