Eligibility/Qualification–
- Ph.D. in Textile Chemistry / Textile Engineering or a closely related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of post-PhD experience
- Relevant research publications in the field
- Mandatory experience working with Newton Sweating Thermal Manikin
Relaxation:
- 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST candidates
- For retired/superannuated government employees, salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from Indian nationals for a contractual Project Appointment at IIT Delhi under the DIA-CoE project focused on Extreme Cold Weather Clothing (ECWC) upgradation. The appointment will be on a contract basis with consolidated pay, renewable annually or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.

Principal Project Scientist (Contractual)

Lead research and development activities related to ECWC upgradation
Work closely with industry partners for value addition, production, and validation
Conduct thermal comfort and performance testing using sweating thermal manikin
Manage project execution, reporting, and coordination under DIA-CoE
Publish research outcomes and support technology validation activities
Assist in limited-scale production and field validation of ECWC systems
