About- National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB) is an autonomous institute under Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, and Government of India. NIAB is aimed to harness novel and emerging biotechnologies and create knowledge in the cutting edge areas for improving animal health and productivity. The Institute’s research focus is on animal genetics and genomics, transgenic technology, reproductive technology, diseases, nutritional enrichment, and bioinformatics. The Institute aims at translational research leading to genetic enhancement of Indian Livestock species and basic research towards development of novel vaccines, diagnostics and improved therapeutic molecules for farm animals.

Eligibility/Qualification–
Doctoral Degree in Biological Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering and Technology and three years of experience in research and development in academia or industry, or Science and Technology Organization and Scientific activities and Services.
Age: 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling the following positions at the BRICNational Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, against the DBT-BBSRC funded India-UK FADH project entitled “Unraveling the Mechanisms of Differential Virulence and Drug Resistance in Bovine TB: A Comparative Study of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. bovis and M. orygis Genomic Differences and Host-Pathogen Signaling Interactions”
PI – Dr. Bappaditya Dey.
Project Scientist – II: 1 position
Fellowship amount: Rs.67000 + HRA (As applicable)
Tenure: One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (until July, 2028)
