Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. degree in Engineering, or M.Tech with 3 years relevant experience, or B.Tech. with 5 years relevant experience
Desirable Experience: Preferably, the candidate should have a few of the following skill sets:
- Knowledge of waste characterization techniques/methods (Spectrophotometry / Gas and Liquid Chromatography / AAS / TCLP etc.)
- Knowledge of machines operation and design
- Knowledge of waste processing methods (Screening / Composting / RDF / Waste-to-Energy etc.)
- Experience of running pilot/field setups
- Knowledge and experience in handling waste management projects
- Exposure to field work related to waste management
- Drafting technical reports
Job/Position Description-
Applications are invited for temporary & contractual two post of Senior Project Engineer in the project “Tech-Integrated Planning of Solid Waste Management at Kanpur City” at IIT Kanpur.
Position: Senior Project Engineer
Job Description: Managing and coordinate the project activities, assessment and characterization of waste; design and implementation of waste processing solutions, other R&D actives as assigned
Salary: Rs. 38800-3200-96400 monthly (Starting Gross Salary depends on skills and experience)
Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year, which may be extended depending on performance.
Number of positions: Two
