Eligibility/Job-

• Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering/Metallurgical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Ceramic Engineering/Food Engineering/ Chemistry/ Physics or allied fields having relevant background.
• The percentage/grade points should be minimum of 60 % or equivalent grade from graduation onwards. Candidates who have submitted Ph.D. thesis are eligible to apply. 
• At least 55 % or equivalent in classes 10^th and 12^th is required.  

Position Description- 

Project title: Thermodynamic Framework Development and Fabrication of Stable Lubricant Infused Micropatterned Slippery Non-Wetting Surfaces for Underwater Applications

Project description: The candidate is expected to contribute to the development and validation of the thermodynamic framework for designing and fabricating liquid based slippery hydrophobic micropatterned surfaces for underwater applications. Experimental techniques such as spin coating, dip coating, lithography, electron microscopy, contact angle goniometry, drop adhesion tests will be utilized for this research. Durability of slippery surfaces for underwater applications will be investigated.  

Duration of Appointment: Initial appointment will be for 1 year. Total project duration is 3 years. The appointment may be renewed annually based on the performance.  

Remuneration: 72,000 – 84,000 Rs per month (consolidated)
