Eligibility/Qualification:
Ph.D. in Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemical Engineering/ Food Science & Technology.
Functional experience & competencies:
Essential
- • Proficiency in designing and conducting experiments.
- • Experience with advanced analytical instruments and methods for assessing toxicity, efficacy, and other properties.
- • Experience in visiting and assessing field godowns or similar storage facilities.
- • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to food storage and safety and its guidelines.
Desirable
- • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- • Adaptability to work in different environments, including field godowns and laboratory settings.
- • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time annually.
Roles and responsibilities
- • Responsible for the development of study design and identification of suitable methods of food grain preservation. % Responsible for visiting field godowns and assessment of storage parameters in samples.
- • Conducting performance evaluation of developed methods -analysis of toxicity, efficacy, and other properties.
- • Analyze the impact of storage, cooking, and sensory perception of treated FR.
- • Working with cross-functional teams including engineers, food technologists, and supply chain experts.
- • Maintaining documentation of research processes, experiments, and results. • Prepare detailed technical reports and research papers for publication.
