Eligibility/Qualification–

  • A PhD in physics or a related discipline with a strong background in experimental optical physics;
  • Experience with Matlab/Python;
  • Creative, pro-active team player with good analytical skills;
  • Good communicative skills in English, both written and oral.
  • For the LINX Post-Doc-position at TU Delft (for a duration of 3 years), the Optics group at the Imaging Physics department is preferably looking for candidates that have specialized through their PhD and/or subsequent research in HHG-based lensless imaging in the soft-X-ray wavelength range.
  • A broad expertise in experimental optics, in diffraction physics, in non-linear laser physics and in building breadboard set-ups is highly required, and know-how of high-harmonic generation sources is a clear bonus.
  • Research group expect candidates to be proficient in English and to have good professional communication and team working skills, and to enjoy interdisciplinary collaborations with scientists from high-tech industry.
  • The Post-Doc will collaborate with and contribute to the coaching of the two PhDs in LINX at the Optics Group of TU Delft. 

Job/Position Description- 

The Dutch research organization NWO-TTW has granted a Research Program on “Lensless Imaging of 3D Nanostructures with soft X-rays” (LINX) to an Academic Consortium comprising 5 dutch universities, which are: the Delft University of Technology, Utrecht University, the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the University of Twente, and the Eindhoven University of Technology. 

Contract = 3 years

Salary = 3389 – 4274 euros monthly (full-time basis)
