Eligibility/Qualification:
- Minimum Education: PhD in Evolution, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Required Qualifications: Strong research background in evolutionary genetics and/or computational genomics.
- Preferred Qualifications: Motivated individual with a keen interest in team science.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will support the Schrider Lab in:
- Developing and applying computational methods to study the impacts of adaptation, recombination, introgression, and demographic changes on genetic diversity.
- Clarifying phylogenetic relationships among species and genealogical relationships of individuals within species.
- Investigating evolutionary questions in mosquito genomes.
- Analyzing evolutionary models, including therapeutic resistance evolution in cancer, utilizing simulation and/or analytical theory.
